Our Investigator

Dr. Greeley has participated in clinical trials and research studies for over 30 years to help further the understanding of various neurological conditions.
Dr. Greeley was born and raised in Seattle, Washington, and graduated from the University of Washington in 1985 with a bachelor’s degree in music theory and history. He then went to the University of Washington School of Medicine, graduating in 1989. After medical school he spent the next four years in Madison, Wisconsin completing his internship and residency in Neurology at the University of Wisconsin Hospital and Clinic system. He then completed a post-residency position as Honorary Assistant House Physician at the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery in London, England.
Directly after training Dr. Greeley moved to Spokane, Washington, to join a multi-specialty clinic. There he worked as a neurologist and as the first director of their clinical research department. He moved into private practice in Spokane in 1999 when he founded Northwest Neurological, PLLC. As one of only a few private practice neurologists in the region, he is committed to treating all patients with attention and respect and is proud to offer the latest treatments in the field of neurology.
Dr. Greeley also has over 30 years of experience conducting clinical research trials in the same areas he has focused his clinical practice:
- Memory loss and MCI (e.g. Alzheimer’s disease and Dementia)
- Movement disorders (e.g. Parkinson’s disease, tremor, dystonia)
- Migraine
He partners with government agencies and pharmaceutical groups to bring cutting edge research for these conditions to the Spokane region. Now more commonly recognized, Dr Greeley and his team were using several agents long before they were FDA-approved. These agents include Botox, Xeomin, Imitrex, Emgality, Aduhelm, Leqembi, Exelon, Razadyne, Axert, Plavix, Nourianz and even DBS surgery for Parkinson’s disease. Learn more about his research activity on our Research page. You or someone you know may be eligible for a treatment that won’t be available to the general public for several years to come.
Dr. Greeley is a Fellow in the American Academy of Neurology (FAAN). He is also involved in education and training of medical students as a Clinical Associate Professor in Neurology at the University of Washington School of Medicine. UW Medicine Alumni Spotlight.
As a third-generation physician, Dr. Greeley has respect for how much has changed – and how much has remained the same in medicine — as noted by an article written by his grandfather, Dr. H. P. Greeley in 1917: The Physician: Past and Present.
